China Corruption Blotter (September 26, 2014)

Beijing Xinghe City Property Management Co Ltd and Beijing Yizelong Property Management Co Ltd have been fined $16,279 each over bribery charges. The legal representative of the two companies, only identified as Bian, was sentenced to 2 years in jail for offering a property to Cui Aiguo, the former director of Civil Defense Bureau in Beijing’s Fengtai district, in exchange for the use of civil defense facilities.

China Corruption Blotter (February 5, 2014)

Wang Weibing, former head of the Internal Settlement Center at state-owned Zhengzhou Coal Industry Group Co Ltd, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for accepting bribes totaling $500,000 from ten banks seeking business with the group. The banks identified include the Zhengzhou branches of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, China Minsheng Bank, China Guangfa Bank, Industrial Bank and Bank of China.

China Corruption Blotter (August 30, 2013)

Zhu Fulin, the former vice mayor of Zhejiang’s Jinhua city has been put on trial for taking bribes worth $2.58 million from real estate developers in exchange for awarding land deals. Zhu was placed under investigation last August along with his wife and bother-in-law. One of Zhu’s alleged bribe-givers was identified as Jinhua Zhengfang Group.
