Former chairman of Fujian Broadcast and TV Group, Shu Zhan, has been expelled from the party and dismissed from office for taking huge bribes and adultery. Authorities confiscated his illegal gains and transferred him to judiciary for prosecution. http://news.xinhuanet.com

Yang Huizhong, former head of Housing Management Bureau in Huangshan city (Anhui province), was tried for misappropriating $40,886 in public funds and taking bribes of $43,339 offered by three real estate developers http://epaper.anhuinews.com

Han Xiancong, former deputy head of the Anhui Provincial Political Consultative Conference, has been deprived of his party membership and office post for accepting bribes, attending public-funded banquets and abusing his power to cause losses of state assets. His downfall could be related to Ni Fake, former deputy governor of Anhui province who is facing corruption charges. http://www.bjnews.com.cn

Gong Hui, former deputy chief of Baiyun District in Guangzhou, was given a 7-year jail term after being convicted guilty of taking bribes worth nearly $327,000 from private companies. Guangzhou Geling International Steel Structure Co Ltd bribed Gong to obtain more relocation compensations from government. http://epaper.nandu.com

Former president of Nanchang University, Zhou Wenbin, stood trial for accepting bribes worth over $3.7 million while serving as president of East China Institute of Technology and Nanchang University. Zhou also embezzled $9.6 million in public funds from Nanchang University for others to do business. http://www.chinanews.com

The former party secretary and chairman of state-owned Xinjiang West Yinli Cotton Industry (Group) Co Ltd, Zhu Yun, has been sentenced to ten-and-a-half years in jail for helping private investors obtain cotton deals in exchange for $122,660 in bribes. http://news.xinhuanet.com
