Event: Global Suspension & Debarment Survey (GW Law - May 22)

The GW Law Government Procurement Law Program and a Working Group of the International Bar Association’s Anti-Corruption Committee will host a presentation and discussion on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, of the results of the Global Suspension & Debarment Survey pilot. 

Members of the Working Group, including representatives from the World Bank Office of Suspension and Debarment, the Montréal Inspector General’s Office, and the Sanctions Officer for the Inter-American Development Bank Group, will discuss the survey and present their findings on debarment systems across a range of jurisdictions and institutions. 

They will be followed by a panel discussion of the results and the way forward on debarment issues.  Panelists include:

Mr. Chris Yukins (Lynn David Research Professor of Government Procurement Law, The George Washington University Law School)

Ms. Jessica Tillipman (Assistant Dean for Field Placement and Professorial Lecturer in Law, The George Washington University Law School)

Ms. Maria Swaby (Suspension and Debarment Official, United States General Services Administration)

Ms. Belita Manka (Senior Counsel, Procurement, Legal Vice Presidency, World Bank)

The panel discussion will be moderated by Mr. Collin Swan (Counsel (Sanctions), World Bank Office of Suspension and Debarment). 

Breakfast will be served starting at 8:30am, and the program will begin at 9:00am and conclude at 10:15am.
