Conference: The Transnationalization of Anti-Corruption Law (Paris - December 6-7)

The ASIL Anti-Corruption Law Interest Group, Sciences Po Law School, and the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania are organizing a conference in close cooperation with the OECD on December 6-7 in Paris.

The two-day conference follows a call for papers released in April 2018 and will bring together academics, policy makers, and practitioners.

The eight conference panels will review the evolution of anti-corruption law and explore the mechanisms that have led to the development of modern “transnational” anti-corruption law and standards, considering the role and influence of a variety of actors.

When
December 6-7, 2018

Where
Sciences Po
Amphithéâtre Claude Erignac
(3rd floor)
13, rue de l’Université
75007 Paris

Our approach will be interdisciplinary so as to understand the drivers of today’s anti-corruption norms, their implementation in the transnational context, and the challenges that lie ahead.

Among the speakers and moderators will be several representatives of the OECD, the World Bank, the OAS, the former General Counsel of the IMF, as well as leading academics from around the world in the fields of law, political science and international relations, including from the IACA and FIDH, and private practice lawyers and compliance professionals from various jurisdictions.

Registration for the event is now open and closes on November 30.

The conference program and registration information are available on the event’s webpage.
