Save the Date: Panel discussion about the Yates Memo (Chicago - April 14)

The American Bar Association's 2016 Section of Litigation Annual Conference happens April 13 - 16 in Chicago. One event during the conference will be a panel discussion called A Price on their Heads: The DOJ’s Yates Memo and the Future of Corporate Investigations.

When Deputy U.S. Attorney General Sally Quillian Yates issued her guidance on Individual Accountability for Corporate Wrongdoing, the questions started right away.

There's plenty of discussion but no agreement yet about what the Yates Memo means for internal and DOJ/SEC investigations, and corporate enforcement actions and resolutions.

The ABA panel event about the Yates Memo will take place on April 14 at 3:15 pm.

Panelists include:

Moderator Lori Lightfoot -- Partner, Mayer Brown LLP

Ron Machen -- Partner, WilmerHale and Former US Attorney, District of Columbia

Jason Knott -- Partner, Zuckerman Spaeder LLP

Richard Bistrong -- Contributing Editor of the FCPA Blog and CEO of Front-Line Anti-Bribery LLC

The panelists will talk about the following topics and answer questions:

  • Implications for Corporate Cooperation
  • Implications for Internal Investigations
  • Effects on Civil Enforcement
  • Considerations for Counsel for Individuals
  • Does Personal Accountability Change With Yates?
