Resource Alert: The Conflict of Interest Blog

Jeff Kaplan has launched the Conflict of Interest Blog.

It's a first-of-its-kind web-based resource, he said, designed, among other things, to help compliance and ethics professionals address conflicts issues.

Kaplan (B.A. Carleton College,  J.D. Harvard University) has been a frequent and popular contributor to the FCPA Blog. He said with typical generosity that his goal is 'ambitious – to create as trusted a resource for conflicts issues as the FCPA Blog is for anti-corruption issues.'

Jeff was counsel to the Ethics Officer Association (now the ECOA), a professional association of more than 1200 compliance and ethics officers. He was co-editor of Compliance Programs and the Corporate Sentencing Guidelines: Preventing Criminal and Civil Liability (West 1993). And he co-authored the anti-corruption compliance program benchmarking survey.

He's also Adjunct Professor of Business Ethics at the Stern School of Business at New York University. His full bio is here.

The Conflict of Interest Blog, he said, 'is largely a blueprint for developing and capturing information relating to about 40 essential topics in this area.'

We're grateful for Jeff's many contributions to the FCPA Blog (which we hope will continue). We also thank him for creating a great new resource for the compliance community.
